Romance of the Clouds: Glory Glory Red Giants!

Selangor capped an impressive start to their Malaysia Cup campaign by crushing fellow Klang Valley side MK Land 4-1 during their opening match just now. Shah Alam was just buzzing with over 30,000 fans drenched in sweat altogether cheering on our brave warriors as they do battle on the pitch. I feel so honoured to be among the lucky ones who managed to sing their hearts out throughout the match, in fact I may not be able to speak much this couple of days, hilang suara! Although the Malaysia cup may not be as prestigious as the English FA Cup, but it is still rich in history and tradition as it is the oldest cup competition in Asia, initially known as the HMS Malaya Cup back in 1921.

The atmosphere at the Shah Alam Stadium was just unbelievable. The crowd were a sea of red and yellow.Huge banners and flags encouraged the players to soldier on whenever they're off the mark. The hardcore supporters came equipped with their huge traditional drums (gendang and rebana), and there were also a few daring souls who secretly smuggled in some fireworks as loud blasts would follow a goal celebration and the blaring noise would echo throughout the stadium, never failing to shock me everytime. The action was just as intense, with Selangor being put on the scoring sheet by Bambang Pamungkas, Khalid Jamlus and Brian Fuentes, with the latter scoring a brace.

The trip back was not as eventful though, as three of my pals fell asleep in the car, nobody to make sure that the driver (me) was awake, well i wouldn't have said a single word anyway, lost my voice remember?? Luckily they parked their vehicles at my place, so i went straight up to my house when we arrived. It was such an energy sapping affair that none of us even bothered to kiss each other goodnite :p hehehe.. well before i doze off, here's a kiss 4u, mwaZZzzzZZZzzZZzzz... *sleeping*

-May we win an unprecedented 30th Malaysia Cup trophy this year!
