Romance of the Clouds: Night Save My Day

Never thought I’d say this, but I miss college! Nevertheless, before you lecturers start “perasan”-ing that I miss your lectures or something, let me officially state that that’s not the case whatsoever. I miss my college buds, the times we spend together, everything (gosh, only one day on my own and I resort to these choice of words??). But the fact remains, up till now, this Friday of mine has been very dull and lonely, let me break this up for y’all to better understand what I mean.

I woke up at 6am for prayers, and then did some chores at home before eventually stepping into the shower at 8am. I suddenly remembered that I just bought a new game last night, which happened to be Winning Eleven 9 (WE9), the ninth edition of the ever so popular Japanese football game (since 1995). I haven’t even tried it yet, so I decided to insert the disc into my PS2 and give it a go. From that moment onwards, I was trapped inside the wicked world of stunning graphics, excellent realistic gameplay and Nippon speaking commentators which I’ve somehow grown fond of throughout the years. I was so obsessed with the game that I did not even realize that it was already 12pm! So apa lagi, I hurriedly switched off the console and jumped into the shower once again, this time to get ready for Friday prayers. Off to Masjid Wilayah on my own.

I would normally have lunch after Friday prayers, but today was an exception. Even though there were many stalls selling various local delicacies outside of the mosque, I wasn’t up to it as it was no fun eating alone. For once, all the chicken rice, assam laksa and char kuey tiaw didn’t seem appetizing. Five minutes later, I was back at the crib, couldn’t wait to play WE9 again. Just as I was about to switch on the TV, I accidentally tripped on an old photo album which reminded me: I HAVENT STARTED S*** ON MY MANY ASSIGNMENTS!!! And I also have the Mr. and Ms KDU event to attend tonight, so I eventually decided to get off the TV and get on my lazy ass and actually finish this mo’fo’ (excuse my potty mouth). Hope tonite would be a blast. Good Luck Mr Clarence Chan Weytat!
